HTC Vive XR Elite

HTC Vive XR Elite is a hybrid mixed reality (MR) headset (standalone + PC VR) primarily designed for the B2C consumer market and released in 2023. Marketed by HTC, it features an LCD display with a resolution of 1920 × 1920 pixels per eye, an approximate 110° field of view, pancake lenses, and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, with a weight of around 625 g without the rear battery module. Inside-out tracking, full-color passthrough, and hand tracking support enable use cases focused on entertainment and gaming. The headset is powered by a Snapdragon XR2 platform, with 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, delivering an estimated battery life of around 2 hours depending on usage. It runs on HTC’s proprietary operating system and offers full SDK support. Its main limitation is relatively modest battery life during intensive standalone use.
