Apple Vision Pro

Apple Vision Pro is a standalone mixed reality (MR) headset designed for the consumer (B2C) market. It was released in 2024, with production significantly reduced in late 2024 and fully discontinued in early 2025. It features Micro-OLED displays delivering an equivalent resolution of approximately 3660 × 3200 pixels per eye, an estimated field of view above 100°, pancake lenses, and refresh rates up to 90 Hz. The headset weighs between 600 and 650 g depending on configuration. Inside-out tracking, high-definition color passthrough, and advanced support for hand tracking, eye tracking, and face tracking enable immersive collaboration and productivity use cases. It is powered by the Apple M2 chip combined with the dedicated R1 processor, includes 256 GB of storage, and relies on an external battery providing approximately 2 hours of autonomy. It runs on visionOS with full SDK support. Its primary limitations are a closed ecosystem and premium pricing positioning.
