Pimax Dream Air

Pimax Dream Air is a wired PC VR headset designed for the B2C consumer market, with commercial availability announced for late 2025. It features Sony 8K micro-OLED displays with a resolution of 3840 × 3552 pixels per eye, delivering more than 27 million total pixels. The headset integrates pancake lenses, supports refresh rates up to 90 Hz, and introduces a lightweight design aimed at improving comfort compared to previous generations. It includes inside-out tracking, eye tracking, hand tracking, and controller tracking, while remaining fully compatible with the SteamVR ecosystem. The device is positioned for high-definition PC VR gaming and immersive entertainment. The headset requires a high-performance PC and does not include integrated battery or onboard storage. It operates within SteamVR with full SDK support. Its primary limitation is the significant hardware performance required to fully leverage its ultra-high resolution.
