PlayStation VR2

Sony PlayStation VR2 is a wired virtual reality (VR) headset designed for the B2C consumer market and commercially available since 2023. It features OLED displays with a resolution of 2000 × 2040 pixels per eye, an approximate 110° field of view, Fresnel lenses, and refresh rates up to 120 Hz, with a weight of around 560 g without the cable. The headset includes inside-out tracking, black-and-white passthrough, eye tracking, and dedicated Sense controllers, enabling immersive gaming and entertainment experiences. It relies on the power of the PlayStation 5 console, with no integrated battery or onboard storage. It operates within Sony’s proprietary ecosystem with partial and restricted SDK access. Its primary limitation is exclusive compatibility with the PlayStation ecosystem.
